GEOLOGY
The Ballyhoura Mountain trails are positioned in County Limerick. The flora/fauna of the area is mainly comprised of heathers, bog cotton, rhododendron, bluebells, Bilberry bushs, natural raspberry bushs, natural strwberrys and Foxgloves scattered all around the trails. Beneath the flora is a sandy based type of grit sitting on red sandstone which creates a natural wear and tear of lips/bumps, ideal for biking with views of the Kerry mountains, comeragh mountains and the galtee mountains. It’s a photographers haven in relation to mixture of plants and scenes. |
